Local Trends

Track how search demand for a selected label is evolving across geolocations, using volume or local affinity growth.

Written by Pierre-Antoine Vigneron

Local Trends shows how search demand for a selected label is evolving across territories, compared to the previous period. Rather than looking at absolute sizing, this page focuses on growth — helping you quickly identify which markets are accelerating, which are declining, and where emerging opportunities may be forming.

Data-Visualization & Widgets

1. Bubble Map

The map displays growth per territory, with bubble size reflecting search volume and color indicating the direction and intensity of change — from red (decline) to green (growth). You can toggle between Search Volume and Local Affinity views.

What you get out of it:

  • Instantly spot which territories are growing or declining for a given label

  • Identify markets where growth is strong even if absolute volume remains moderate

  • Compare growth patterns geographically to detect regional dynamics

2. Growth Table

The table ranks territories by search volume and adds three key dimensions for each market:

  • Share of volume — the territory's weight within total search demand

  • Growth vs. previous period — the percentage change compared to the comparison period

  • Trend — a qualitative summary of the market's direction

What you get out of it:

  • Quickly identify which markets are growing or declining the fastest

  • Cross-reference volume weight and growth to prioritize the most strategic territories

  • Spot markets with strong growth but still limited share — potential markets to invest in early

3. Volume vs. Growth Scatter Plot

The scatter plot positions each territory on two axes — search volume (x) and growth (y) — giving you a clear view of where each market stands in terms of both size and momentum.

What you get out of it:

  • Identify high-volume, high-growth markets — your top priorities

  • Spot fast-growing but still small markets worth monitoring closely

  • Detect large markets in decline that may require a different strategic approach
